If you don't know I'm a massive apple fanboy have been for years so as per i waited until 6pm for the apple conference to start then watched it like a hawk expecting something magical. If you didn't know where have you been apple announced the iPad. Effectively it is a large iPod Touch/iPhone meets e-book reader/digital photo frame, i myself was originally disappointed as even though i pretty much knew what was going to be announced i was hoping like others for a more developed iPhone OS, camera, multitasking etc. However after reflecting i can't wait to purchase one as running iPhone OS for one may leave the tablet open to jailbreaking which will allow multitasking and other goodies (EMULATORS). Also after web browsing, messaging and gaming i mainly use my iPod Touch to control my mac and it would be so much easier to control logic on a 10" screen. Think about it go through the app store or cydia/rock/icy and think about how much better apps could be on the iPad.
So yes maybe the iPad won't be a netbook killer or tablet king or whatever but it will save me shedding out for loads of hardware and will merk off things like this and this so im happy and can't wait!
